The robust Mavrotragano that we know from the Cyclades is coming to Drama to shake up the waters, with the new label of Iordanis Michaelidis. Planted in the "Lagotopos" vineyard already in 2010, the Mavrotragano variety, cultivated with care, keeping the yield per hectare low, gives its fine fruits for the creation of a distinct red wine character. Dark purple, with black fruits, licorice, spicy spices in its multi-layered composition, impresses with a perfectly balanced touch that combines fruit and oak memories. Well-integrated tannins, round but promising to age. Delightful lingering aftertaste. Only 930 bottles.
Accompanies red meats and large poultry wines, game and yellow hard cheeses.
